Kalamazoo

kzoo

I was born and raised in the Kalamazoo area, but I didn’t actually come to love this place until the last five years or so. Full of good food, festivals, and a beautiful, vibrant community, Kalamazoo is a place that I am proud to call home. If you’re here for a visit, stop by some of my favorite places!

food & drink
Beer Exchange
– great food and awesome stock market concept for beers after 6
Bimbo’s Pizza
– one of our favorite lunch spots
Irving’s Market and Deli – salads, soups, sandwiches, a great hot bar, and desserts (not to mention the grocery space)
Latitude 42 – amazing prime rib sandwich (everything about it is perfect!) and their L42 hard cider is awesome; all of their beers are brewed locally!
Sakura – the best sushi in town
Studio Grill – I love the grilled steak sandwich, tons of unique burgers, amazing fries, and the best pancakes ever
Sweetwater’s Donuts – award winning fresh donuts, open 24 hours a day
Taco Bob’s – basically a better Taco Bell
Tempo Vino Winery – the place that got me into wine (love the blackberry merlot and pinot noir)
Tudor House Tea & Spice – beautiful loose leaf teas, local treats, and fresh spices
